Release 1.3 of C-Roads harmonised C-ITS specifications
In October 2018, the latest release (v1.3) of the harmonised communication profile for Cooperative Intelligent Transport (C-ITS) services has been published. It comprises the results of several test cycles of the C-Roads partners across Europe and is already fine-tuned with the automotive industry (CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium).
- The new release encompasses the following documents:
- C-ITS Infrastructure Functions and Specifications (Release 1.3)
- Common C-ITS Service Definitions (Release 1.3)
- Roadside ITS G5 System Profile (Release 1.3)
This new release focusses on the communication profile for IEEE 802.11p/ETSI ITS-G5 short range communication. This document defines the common base for the ITS-G5 functional and technical specifications. The specification targets the communication between roadside units and vehicles. The communication directions derived from this are also known as I2V (Infrastructure-to-Vehicle) and V2I (Vehicle-to-Infrastructure) communication.
